What it’s like

Glengoyne, north of Glasgow, prides itself on using air-dried barley, without peat smoke, and on distilling very slowly. The ten-year-old, matured in sherry and bourbon casks, is clean and fruity: apple, almond, toffee and a hint of fresh grass. With no trace of smoke, it is a very pleasant malt for those who prefer clean profiles, and an alternative to Speyside with a character of its own.

Nose
Apple, almond and toffee, with fresh grass and a touch of honey.
Palate
Light and clean. Orchard fruit, caramel and nuts.
Finish
Medium, clean and sweet, with a hint of walnut and baked apple.
