What it’s like

Glengoyne’s twenty-one-year-old matures in first-fill sherry casks and is one of the most rounded sherried malts in the Highlands. It has dried fruit, marzipan, spice, chocolate and deep but well-integrated oak. No smoke. It is a veteran malt, rich and complex, to drink neat on a special occasion. Its lack of peat lets the sherry come through clean.

Nose
Raisins, marzipan, candied orange, spice and a touch of leather.
Palate
Rich. Dried fruit, nuts, cocoa, cinnamon and deep oak.
Finish
Long and warm, with dry spice and a hint of sherry.
