What it’s like

Bain's is a South African grain whisky made at the James Sedgwick distillery, in Wellington, near Cape Town. It is distilled from corn and matured twice in first-fill bourbon casks. It is sweet and smooth, with vanilla, caramel, fruit and soft spice. No smoke. A friendly grain whisky and a curiosity of African whisky. It works well in a highball.

Nose
Vanilla, caramel, banana and a touch of spice and coconut.
Palate
Sweet and smooth. Toffee, vanilla, fruit, cereal and spice, with no rough edges.
Finish
Medium, sweet and clean, with a hint of vanilla and caramel.
