What it’s like

Cardhu Amber Rock is a no-age-statement malt that matures in American oak casks and spends a final period in new, heavily charred casks. The result is sweeter and more intense than the twelve-year-old: toffee, vanilla, orange and spice over the house’s light fruit. No smoke. It is an easy, indulgent malt, very popular among those starting out with malts.

Nose
Toffee, vanilla, orange and a touch of toasted oak and honey.
Palate
Sweet. Caramel, ripe fruit, vanilla and soft spice, with a touch of orange.
Finish
Medium, sweet, with toasted oak and a hint of caramel.
