What it’s like

Peaty Tang blends classic Tomintoul malt with peated malt distilled at the same house, something unusual in Speyside. The result is a smooth malt with clear but friendly peat smoke, over a background of fruit, vanilla and honey. It doesn’t have Islay’s iodine. It is a gentle way to approach smoky whisky. It works neat or in a highball.

Nose
Peat smoke, apple, vanilla and a touch of pepper.
Palate
Sweet and smoky. Fresh fruit, honey, soft smoke and spice.
Finish
Medium, with sweet smoke and a hint of cereal and vanilla.
