What it’s like

Glenfiddich’s eighteen-year-old malt combines whiskies matured in oloroso sherry and bourbon casks, which are then married together before bottling. With age, the house’s fruity style gains depth: baked apple, dried fruit, cinnamon and polished oak. It is very rounded and smoke-free, one of those malts that please beginners and experienced drinkers alike. A good example of what time brings to a classic Speyside.

Nose
Baked apple, raisins and cinnamon, with soft oak and a touch of honey.
Palate
Silky and rich. Dried fruit, toffee and spice, with elegant oak.
Finish
Long, warm and spicy, with polished oak, cinnamon and a background of dried fruit.
