What it’s like

The Glenturret, in Crieff, prides itself on being one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland, and for years it was the home of The Famous Grouse. Since its change of owners it has focused on its own malts. Its twelve-year-old combines sherry and bourbon casks, with fruit, honey, nuts and spice. No smoke. It is a rich, elegant malt, bottled without chill filtration.

Nose
Ripe fruit, honey, nuts and spice, with a touch of vanilla.
Palate
Rounded. Toffee, dried fruit, spice, cereal and oak, with some vanilla.
Finish
Medium to long, with spice and a hint of honey.
