What it’s like

The no-age-statement version of Cardhu, very well known in Spain. It keeps the light, fruity and honeyed style of the Speyside distillery, but with a little more sweetness and caramel notes than the twelve-year-old. It has no smoke and is very smooth on the palate. It is a simple option for those starting out with malts or for those after a friendly whisky to drink on the rocks, and a good way to compare what changes when a malt carries no age on the label.

Nose
Pear, honey and caramel, with a floral touch and some vanilla.
Palate
Smooth and sweet. Orchard fruit, light toffee and cereal.
Finish
Short to medium, sweet and clean, with a hint of honey.
