Cardhu’s fifteen-year-old keeps the lightness and fruit of the distillery, the malt heart of Johnnie Walker, with a little more body and oak than the twelve-year-old. There is pear, baked apple, honey and vanilla, with soft spice. No smoke. It is an elegant malt, easy to recommend and good to compare with the twelve-year-old.
