What it’s like

X by Glenmorangie is a malt designed for mixing, with tonic, soft drinks or in cocktails. It blends whisky matured in bourbon casks with whisky from heavily charred casks, for a sweet, rounded profile of vanilla, caramel, chocolate and orange. No smoke. It doesn’t aim for the delicacy of the Original, but for a flavour that doesn’t get lost in a tall glass. It works very well in a highball with plenty of ice.

Vanilla, caramel, orange and a touch of milk chocolate.
Palate
Sweet and rounded. Toffee, vanilla, cocoa, ripe fruit and some spice.
Finish
Short to medium, sweet, with a hint of chocolate and vanilla.
