What it’s like

One of Glenmorangie’s most singular malts. Part of the recipe uses chocolate malt, a heavily roasted barley normally used in dark beers, and it combines very old whiskies with younger ones, according to the brand. The result is intense and deep: coffee, dark chocolate, candied orange and spice. It has no peat smoke. It is a very original luxury malt, ideal as a digestif.

Nose
Roasted coffee, dark chocolate and candied orange, with warm spice.
Palate
Dense and rich. Cocoa, coffee, dried fruit and spicy oak.
Finish
Long, roasted and spicy, with hints of coffee and chocolate.
