What it’s like

Glen Scotia is one of the three remaining distilleries in Campbeltown, the old whisky capital. Its fifteen-year-old matures in bourbon casks and finishes in oloroso casks, and is bottled at 46% ABV. It has ripe fruit, toffee, spice and the coast’s briny touch. No noticeable peat. It is a rounded, coastal malt, with plenty of quality for its price.

Rounded. Caramel, fruit, soft spice and sea salt, with good texture.

Medium to long, briny and spicy, with a hint of toffee.
