What it’s like
Old Pulteney is the Wick distillery, at the far north of Scotland, known as “the maritime malt”. Its fifteen-year-old combines bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, and is bottled at 46% ABV. It has ripe fruit, honey, chocolate and spice, with the house’s briny touch. No peat. It is a rich, coastal malt, a highly recommendable step after the twelve-year-old.
