What it’s like

Bushmills’ sixteen-year-old matures separately in bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, is married and finishes in port casks. The distillery’s triple-distilled malt gains red fruit, dried fruit, chocolate and spice from this, without losing its smoothness. No smoke. It is a rich and very rounded Irish malt, ideal neat. It makes a good gift.

Red berries, raisins, milk chocolate and a touch of honey and walnuts.
Palate
Rounded. Red and dried fruit, toffee, cocoa, soft spice and oak.
Finish
Medium to long, fruity, with a hint of chocolate and spice.
