What it’s like

The no-age-statement malt from Yamazaki, Japan’s oldest malt distillery, near Kyoto. It combines whiskies matured in different types of cask for a fruity, elegant profile: strawberry, cherry, peach and vanilla, with a spicy touch of wood. It has no smoke. It is an accessible way to get to know the Yamazaki style, fruitier and more delicate than many Scotch malts.

Strawberry, cherry and peach, with vanilla and a touch of aromatic wood.
Palate
Silky and fruity. Red fruit, honey, soft spice and some oak.
Finish
Medium, elegant and slightly spicy, with red fruit at the end.
