What it’s like

Aberlour’s eighteen-year-old combines, like the whole range, American oak and oloroso sherry casks. The long maturation gives it a very oily texture and a profile of ripe fruit, marmalade, chocolate and spice, with elegant oak. No smoke. It is a mature, balanced sherried malt, much appreciated by those looking for Speyside richness without excess.

Nose
Orange marmalade, plum, chocolate and spice, with some honey.
Palate
Oily. Ripe fruit, raisins, toffee, nutmeg and polished oak.
Finish
Long and warm, with chocolate, spice and dried fruit, with a touch of orange.
