What it’s like

Here Laphroaig revives an old technique: after maturing in bourbon casks, the whisky moves into small casks, a quarter of the size, where contact with the wood is greater. The result is a sweeter, rounder Laphroaig, with vanilla and coconut, without losing the house’s medicinal smoke and sea salt. At 48% ABV it has plenty of intensity. A great option for Islay lovers looking for something more indulgent than the ten-year-old.
