What it’s like

A young, no-nonsense Ardbeg, matured for five years in bourbon and oloroso sherry casks. Its youth shows in very direct smoke, with ash, black pepper and tar, together with a touch of chocolate and fruit. At 47.4% ABV it is intense but surprisingly balanced. It is a good option for those after Ardbeg’s smoky power at a more accessible price than the ten-year-old.
