What it’s like

Lagavulin created this eight-year-old to celebrate its bicentenary and it ended up staying in the range. It is younger and livelier than the famous sixteen-year-old: intense bonfire smoke, salt, lemon and a cereal sweetness, with less influence from the wood. At 48% ABV it has power and freshness. It is a very interesting way to get to know Lagavulin’s spirit in its most direct form.

Bonfire smoke, sea salt and lemon, with sweet cereal and pepper.
Palate
Intense and fresh. Peat, malt, citrus fruit and spice, with a briny hint.
Finish
Long, smoky and briny, with a sweet touch of cereal.
