Ledaig 10 Year Old

Ledaig is the smoky style of the Tobermory distillery, on the Isle of Mull. The ten-year-old is bottled at 46.3% without chill filtration and with natural colour, according to the brand. It is intense and earthy: peat smoke, sea salt, pepper and a background of fruit and malt, with a medicinal hint. It is a very interesting alternative to Islay’s smoky whiskies, with a character of its own and less well known.
