What it’s like

Deanston is a distillery housed in an old cotton mill by the River Teith. Its Virgin Oak matures in bourbon casks and finishes in virgin oak casks, which give it spice, vanilla and a touch of fresh wood. It is bottled at 46.3% ABV, without chill filtration. No smoke. It is a young, lively and spicy malt, very good for its price.

Vanilla, fresh wood, honey, citrus and a touch of spice.
Palate
Lively. Spice, vanilla, honey, fresh fruit and new oak, with some cereal.
Finish
Medium, spicy and somewhat dry, with a hint of oak.
