What it’s like

Balblair’s eighteen-year-old follows the fifteen’s recipe, with bourbon casks and a Spanish oak sherry finish, but with more dried fruit, spice and depth. It keeps the distillery’s bright fruit and a silky texture. No smoke. It is a mature, elegant malt, little known and much appreciated by enthusiasts. Best enjoyed neat.

Nose
Raisins, apricot, honey, spice and a touch of soft leather.
Palate
Silky. Dried and ripe fruit, toffee, spice and fine oak.
Finish
Long and spicy, with dried fruit and a hint of honey.
