What it’s like

The Busker is a brand from the Royal Oak distillery, in County Carlow, one of the few in Ireland that make all three styles of Irish whiskey. Its blend matures in bourbon, sherry and Marsala casks, and is smooth and fruity, with vanilla, dried fruit, honey and spice. No smoke. An inexpensive, friendly Irish whiskey, good on the rocks or in mixed drinks.

Nose
Vanilla, honey, dried fruit and a touch of spice and cereal.
Palate
Smooth and sweet. Caramel, raisins, vanilla, fresh fruit and cereal.
Finish
Short to medium, sweet, with a hint of fruit and spice.
