What it’s like

The smoky version of The Famous Grouse, formerly known as The Black Grouse. It keeps the blend’s sweet, smooth base, but adds peated Islay malts that give it a friendly smoke and an earthy background. It is a good first step towards smoky whisky without the intensity of an Islay malt, and it works well neat, on the rocks or in a smoky highball.

Sweet and smoky. Toffee, dried fruit, peat smoke and some pepper.

Medium, with light smoke, spice and a sweet hint of toasted caramel.
