What it’s like

Ardmore is a rarity in the Highlands: it traditionally works with peat-smoked malt, something unusual outside Islay. Legacy combines peated and unpeated whisky, and the result is a soft, earthy smoke alongside honey, vanilla and fruit. It is a very friendly, well-priced gateway to the world of smoke, and an interesting way to discover that not all peat comes from the islands.

Nose
Soft, earthy smoke, honey and vanilla, with a touch of orchard fruit.
Palate
Light and sweet. Caramel, cereal and soft wood smoke, with some pepper.
Finish
Medium, with delicate smoke, vanilla and a hint of honey.
