What it’s like

Kilchoman is an Islay farm distillery, and its 100% Islay is made on the island from start to finish: barley grown on the farm, malted, distilled, matured and bottled right there. It is released in annual editions at 50% ABV and matures in bourbon casks. Its peat is lighter than in the rest of the range: soft smoke, cereal, citrus and salt.

Nose
Barley, soft smoke, lemon, vanilla and a touch of grass and salt.
Palate
Lively. Cereal, citrus, light smoke, vanilla and sea salt, with good body.
Finish
Long, clean and smoky, with a hint of cereal and lemon.
