What it’s like

Jura is an almost uninhabited island next to Islay, with a single distillery. The ten-year-old matures in bourbon casks and finishes its maturation in oloroso sherry casks, according to the brand. It is smooth and sweet, with caramel, dried fruit and a faint smoky, briny touch reminiscent of its neighbour. It is a very friendly, affordable island malt, perfect for those who want a coastal touch without intensity.
