What it’s like

Fettercairn, at the foot of the Grampian mountains, uses a system of its own in which cold water is sprayed over the neck of the still to obtain a lighter spirit. The twelve-year-old, matured in bourbon casks, is fruity and tropical: pineapple, pear, vanilla and a touch of spice and nuts. It has no smoke. It is a different, bright malt, ideal for those after fruity profiles.

Nose
Pineapple, pear and vanilla, with a touch of spice and nuts.
Palate
Smooth and fruity. Tropical fruit, caramel and sweet cereal, with faint spice.
Finish
Medium, sweet and clean, with a hint of tropical fruit.
