What it’s like

Drumshanbo is the whiskey of The Shed Distillery, in County Leitrim, better known for its Gunpowder gin. Its pot still is made with malted barley, unmalted barley and a share of oats, a historic recipe that had almost disappeared in Ireland. It is creamy, spicy and fruity, with cereal, fruit, honey and pepper. It is bottled at 43% ABV. A modern and very original pot still.

Nose
Creamy cereal, fresh fruit, honey and a touch of pepper.
Palate
Creamy. Oats, fruit, pot still spice, vanilla and caramel.
Finish
Medium to long, spicy, with a hint of cereal and honey.
