Glenfarclas is one of the few Speyside distilleries still in the hands of the same family since the 19th century, and its hallmark is sherry casks. The ten-year-old is the way into the house: light for its style, with raisins, nuts and a background of sweet malt, without smoke. It is a great option for those who want to get to know sherry character without paying much, and a good starting point for comparing with the older versions.
