What it’s like
Bowmore’s fifteen-year-old spends its final years in oloroso sherry casks, and that finish darkens the character of Islay’s oldest distillery. The soft, elegant smoke combines with raisins, dark chocolate, toffee and spice, with a maritime background. It is a very rounded Islay, where the peat doesn’t dominate but accompanies.
