What it’s like
One of the most awarded malts in Orkney. It matures for eighteen years mainly in sherry-seasoned oak casks, according to the brand, and combines the aromatic smoke of the island’s heather peat with honey, dried fruit, chocolate and spice. It is deep and very balanced, with no single flavour dominating. It is a benchmark for those after elegant, complex smoke, far from Islay’s intensity.
