What it’s like

Old Parr 12 is a blend with plenty of history, recognisable by its crackled brown bottle that can balance on its edge. Its heart is the malt from Cragganmore, in Speyside, which gives it a rich and somewhat complex profile: ripe fruit, honey, spice and a hint of smoke. It is much appreciated in Latin America and Japan, and it is a twelve-year-old with more character than usual.

Nose
Ripe fruit, honey, sweet spice and a touch of smoke in the background.
Palate
Rounded. Raisins, caramel, orange peel, spice and a light toastiness.
Finish
Medium and warm, with spice, oak and a smoky hint.
