What it’s like

Dalwhinnie is one of the highest and coldest distilleries in Scotland, and Winter's Gold is made from spirit distilled in the winter months, when the cold intensifies the character of the malt. It is sweet and honeyed, with heather honey, fruit and a touch of spice, and hardly any smoke. Curiously, the brand recommends trying it cold, straight from the freezer. A smooth and different malt.

Nose
Heather honey, ripe fruit, vanilla and a floral, spicy touch.
Palate
Honeyed and smooth. Honey, caramel, fruit, cereal and sweet spice.
Finish
Medium, sweet, with honey and a faint hint of smoke and oak.
