What it’s like

Super Nikka is a historic Nikka blend, created in 1962 by Masataka Taketsuru as a tribute to his wife. It combines the house malts and grain whisky and has a smooth, rounded profile, with fruit, honey, vanilla and a very light touch of smoke. It is a very popular whisky in Japan, less known in Europe, and a good way to get to know the Nikka style.

Nose
Ripe fruit, honey, vanilla and a very light touch of smoke and cereal.
Palate
Smooth. Caramel, fruit, vanilla, soft spice and a thread of smoke.
Finish
Medium, sweet and clean, with a faint smoky, honey hint.
