Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries

Ichiro Akuto, founder of Chichibu, is the grandson of the family that owned the defunct Hanyu distillery. Double Distilleries blends malt from Hanyu with malt from Chichibu, and some of the casks are Mizunara oak. It is a fruity, spicy malt, with honey, fruit, oriental spice and fine oak. A piece of the recent history of Japanese whisky. Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water.
