What it’s like

Garrison Brothers is a distillery in Hye, in the heart of Texas, and the first in the state to make bourbon legally after Prohibition. Its Small Batch is distilled on the ranch from Texas corn and matures in the region’s extreme climate, where the heat speeds up extraction from the wood. It is an intense, sweet bourbon, with dark caramel, vanilla, spice and fruit. It is bottled at 47% ABV.

Nose
Dark caramel, vanilla, cherry and a touch of cinnamon and toasted oak.
Palate
Rich. Toffee, dark fruit, spice, vanilla and oak, with plenty of body.
Finish
Long and warm, with spice and a hint of caramel.
